When to Go

March through November. Spring and fall weekends sell out quickly due to DFW proximity. Book 3-4 months ahead for weekends.

Tips

  • Arrive early on summer weekends — day use parking fills up fast
  • No motorized boats on Cedar Hollow Lake — bring kayaks and canoes
  • The Limestone Trail offers the best views from the bluff
  • Water clarity in the spring-fed lake is excellent for swimming
