When to Go

April through October. Rarely sells out due to its smaller size and location, but spring and fall weekends can fill up.

Tips

  • Great spot for a relaxed weekend away from DFW crowds
  • Bring your own canoe or kayak — no boat rental on-site
  • The CCC stonework throughout the park is worth exploring
  • Gas motors not allowed on the lake — electric trolling motors only
