Rio Grande Village Campground — Big Bend National Park
Rio Grande Village Campground sits near the banks of the Rio Grande on the southeastern side of Big Bend National Park, close to Boquillas Canyon and the Hot Springs. It is one of the park's most popular campgrounds and looks east across the river to the Sierra del Carmen mountains in Mexico, which turn red and orange at sunset. Sites range from small tent spots to large pull-throughs, and the river gives easy access to birding, canoeing, and kayaking. Summer is very hot at this low elevation, so the campground is busiest in the cooler months.
