You want a national-park or other federal campground Camp.land already watches. Set the alarm for 10 a.m. Eastern on the day the window opens, then keep an alert running because the $10 cancellation fee is cheap enough that dates repost for weeks. The first alert is free. Big Bend and Guadalupe Mountains are the Texas-adjacent federal campgrounds on that list; they still book on Recreation.gov, not ReserveAmerica.
You want a Hill Country river weekend, a Gulf beach park, or a $70 Texas State Park Pass that waives entrance fees for everyone in the vehicle.
