• →Recreation.gov runs a rolling 6-month booking window for Kalaloch — a new date releases every morning at 10 a.m. Eastern (7 a.m. Pacific), exactly six months out, and ocean-facing sites are the first to go
• →Missed the release? Set a Camp.land alert on Kalaloch — cancellations post back to recreation.gov continuously, and since the fee is just $10 for cancelling more than 14 days out, plenty of campers cancel early rather than risk losing a full night's fee later
• →The Tree of Life is a short, easy walk from the campground and worth the detour
• →Coastal weather changes fast here; pack layers and rain gear even in summer
• →Kalaloch Lodge next door has a restaurant and general store if you need supplies
