The park publishes 101 total sites around a 64-acre spring-fed lake, a $6 entrance fee, and 6 cabins at $60. Camp.land does not run alerts for Texas parks. This guide covers the window, the site types, and what to do when your date is already sold out.
People come to Tyler for CCC-built stone work, swimming and paddling on the spring-fed lake, 13 miles of hiking and biking trails, and fall foliage. The park is about 3 hours 30 minutes from Austin. Canoe and paddleboat rentals are listed on the park file.

Families at Tyler State Park usually want a Lakeview full-hookup site first. Those are close to the lake and beach and go fastest. Larger rigs that do not need a tent can use Big Pine. Water-only sites tend to be the quietest and least crowded.
The 6 cabins have no bathroom and no kitchen. Bring linens. The CCC bathhouse and dam are worth touring.
Missed the five-month release at Tyler State Park? Cancellations still happen. Cancelled sites go straight back into ReserveAmerica. The realistic window to check is two to four weeks before your date.
Because Tyler is a Texas state park, there is no Camp.land alert for it. Check ReserveAmerica directly, and treat Sunday-through-Tuesday nights as easier targets than Fridays. Book three to four months ahead for fall weekends if you miss the five-month drop.
